A Herpa, empresa alemã que produz miniaturas de automóveis, anunciou a apresentação de um protótipo da marca Trabant, antigo ícone da República Democrática Alemã, durante o Salão de Frankfurt.Este novo modelo chama-se Trabant nT e terá motorização eléctrica, com uma autonomia de 250 km, e um pequeno depósito de combustível, para emergências. Destaque para a presença de painéis solares no tejadilho. A velocidade máxima anunciada é de 120 km/h, perto de mais 40 km/h do que o modelo original.

Segundo o construtor, o novo Trabant terá iPod, telefone e sistema de navegação, mas manterá as linhas retro do modelo que começou a ser produzido em 1957.

De acordo com alguma imprensa internacional, o Trabant 2012 custará entre 8000 e 10 500 euros.

In 2004, as part of our Grants-to-Artists Program, the Black Rock Arts Foundation gave Jessica Findley $1,000 to support her first Aeolian Ride in New York, New York.

By using this device, bicyclists will have a clearer path on which to ride safely and out of the way of vehicular traffic. At the same time, as more bicyclists using the Contrail go over a line created by a cyclist before them, the line gets brighter allowing drivers to clearly see a marked bike path where there might be none. It’s sort of similar to what happens when a dirt path appears in a grassy field after lots of people have taken the same shortcut over a period of time.
